Berkhamsted & District Archaeological Society
Practical fieldwork
With coaching, members can gain real "hands on" experience in most aspects of practical archaeology, from helping to conduct geophysical surveys of important sites, to participating in actual digs. Unearthing finds can identify and date a site and help to provide clues about what took place there - thousands of years or maybe only a few decades before.
This is real archaeology - helping us to discover the past ... our ancestors and the world in which they lived.
The Society now has equipment for resistivity work. If you are interested in being involved/receiving training sheduled from September this year contact us via the email links. Please note you must be a member of the society to participate in this and any other practical work
